3do to MS3D Help file

Current version : 1.1b

To install the plugin, just copy msTA3doImporter.dll in your MS3D folder. The MS3D main dir is full of .dll, you cant miss the place.

Things of note :

  • The gaf files you use must be uncompressed, ie : in .gaf format and NOT in a .hpi or .ufo file.

  • A texture is generated for your model and is saved as a .bmp with the same name as your .3do file. If you save your model in ms3d format or any other, you must save it in the same directory as the generated texture or copy that texture to the directory you saved it to or it will appear untextured, because obviously it cannot magicaly find the texture file.

  • If your model appears untextured, the .bmp is empty and you're certain your setup your gaf directory correctly well make sure you actualy textured the unit in 3do builder *pokes Artemis ^_^*.

  • If you're going to use the VET (Viewpoint) exporter, sometime the texture isnt importer with the model. It's a bug in the VET importer and I cant do a thing about it. The new version of MS3D seems to fix that but if it still doesnt work for you, check out this tutorial : Easy Build Picture & Eyecandy.
